Second video of man resembling Zairil out
(The Star) – A second video clip has emerged showing a man resembling an opposition politician dancing with a woman at a nightclub.
Unlike the first video, the new 12-second clip shows more of the unidentified woman, who resembles an opposition party candidate who stood in a by-election.
The man is clad in a plain T-shirt and the woman in a dress and were filmed from a side angle, hugging as they dance.
The man is said to resemble Bukit Bendera MP Zairil Khir Johari and both videos have since gone viral.
It is unclear when or where the footage was taken.
The DAP leader has already denied that he is the man in the first video.
“It’s not me, it’s really nonsense. There are stories about me every day.
“It’s never-ending,” he said on Wednesday.
In the first video, which lasts 15 seconds, a woman is seen swaying towards a man and then hugging him while dancing in what appears to be a nightclub.
George Town OCPD Asst Comm Mior Faridalathrash Wahid had said there was nothing for police to investigate, adding that this was merely a video of someone dancing with a woman.
State DAP chairman Chow Kon Yeow said they had accepted Zairil’s denial and the man in the video did not look like Zairil.
“The person’s body shape looks different,” he said.
Many netizens had expressed shock that the man resembled Zairil.
In October 2014, pictures of a man purportedly resembling him being affectionate with a woman also went viral.
Zairil and DAP leaders branded those pictures as gutter politics.
