DAP Youth wants Umno info chief investigated for incitement
(MMO) – The DAP Socialist Youth (DAPSY) today demanded the police investigate Tan Sri Annuar Musa over his “competition” for evidence of alleged bigotry by DAP parliamentary leader Lim Kit Siang.
DAPSY chief Wong Kah Woh claimed the offer for evidence that Lim was against Islam and the Malays was a danger to racial harmony and incitement of hatred.
“Annuar Musa’s call is also an invitation to crime, whereby every sane and reasonable Malaysians will know there will be no proof of Kit Siang being a racist and anti-Islam,” Wong said in a statement.
Wong lodged a report against Annuar at the Ipoh district police headquarters this morning.
Annuar yesterday announced a “competition” with a RM10,000 prize for social media and blog entries that examined if Lim was anti-Islam and anti-Malay as the former alleged.
Annuar and Lim have been engaged in a hostile exchange, with each accusing the other of racism and being harmful to Islam.
Wong today claimed Annuar was using the “competition” to divert attention from his refusal to sue Lim over the allegations.
He added that Annuar’s call for public participation in the exchange was an attempt at “mass defamation” against DAP and Lim.
“This has to be stopped. The police is thus duty bound to record statement from Annuar Musa and to investigate the matter,” he said.
