DAP splinter party PAP to contest all seats in Penang in GE14

(Bernama) – People’s Alternative Party (PAP) confirmed that it will contest in all parliamentary and state constituencies in Penang in the 14th general election (GE14).

Its president, Zulkifli Mohd Noor, said the multi-racial party decided to contest for all seats in the state as it felt that the DAP-led state government had failed to address, let alone to solve the problems faced by the people.

“We are prepared to contest 40 state seats and 13 parliamentary seats in Penang in the GE14.

“I am ready to contest against Lim Kit Siang if the DAP adviser decides to contest for a parliamentary seat in Penang,” he told reporters Thursday.

PAP, a splinter group of DAP, was formed on Oct 30, 2015 by Zulkifli, the former DAP vice-chairman.
