An admission from Mahathir most welcomed
Salleh Said Keruak
Today, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said that comparing him to Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak is not comparing apples to apples but is comparing apples to oranges. This is a most welcomed admission from Mahathir because this is what we have been trying to emphasize for some time.
Mahathir carries with him a lot of baggage. He was Prime Minister during the time a number of regimes surrounding Malaysia were ousted. And Mahathir was compared as apple-to-apples with these ousted dictators. So comparing Najib to Mahathir would be negative for Najib.
The western media has accused Mahathir of wasting RM100 billion of the nation’s money with an estimated RM100 billion more which has been labelled as ‘leakages’. This was published in a book and is another Mahathir legacy which Najib should not be compared with.
