The countdown to Ezam’s death

Ezam may have to spend the next general election in jail together with Rafizi Ramli and Tony Pua. This is because he has been caught fabricating Minutes of an EGM that was never held at a tile shop. He also faked the attendees list with forged signatures and changed the name of the party without the approval of the RoS or the party members. And now it appears that Daim may be his sponsor after all.

THE CORRIDORS OF POWER

Mohamad Ezam Mohd Nor is currently sitting in death row and the countdown to his death has begun. Not only will he most likely not receive the balance of the RM100 million his sponsor is supposed to give him but he is going to face corruption and fraud charges and maybe even money-laundering charges as well.

Does this mean his party, Parti Bebas Rasuah, that does not really exist and is a mere phantom, is no longer gong to be welcomed as a member of Pakatan Harapan? Anyway, you can read more about the matter here: Ezam scams his party sponsor, yet again.

G. Kumaar Aaman, who really heads the New Generation Party (NewGen Party) that Ezam was supposed to have bought over and turned into Parti Bebas Rasuah, has asked the MACC to investigate where Ezam got his money from. Someone gave Ezam RM10 million so Kumar wants to know who that donor or sponsor is.

According to Ali, his chauffeur, of late Ezam has been meeting Tun Daim a number of times so can this be his sponsor?

“How could he (Ezam), as a former civil servant, afford to pay for this and that. The MACC should look into his source of income, whether it comes from ‘sponsors’ or from bribes,” said Kumaar.

Kumaar also said, “I am the NewGen party president. I don’t know where Ezam’s dignity was when he disguised himself as the party president.” Kumaar added that there were certain quarters (meaning party insiders who Ezam had bribed) who were conspiring with Ezam and had used a fake office address, forged signatures, and fake party members to hijack or ‘steal’ the party.

These are very serious allegations indeed. Kumaar also alleges that Ezam, the so-called party president, and his deputy, Khairuddin Abu Hassan, had changed the party’s name to Parti Bebas Rasuah without the approval of the Registrar of Societies or the party’s 300 registered members. None of those 300 members attended any EGM to approve the change of office bearers or change of name.

Ezam faked the EGM, fabricated the Minutes, forged the signatures, plus changed the party’s name without approval

To make it worse, no such EGM was ever held. The Minutes of the Meeting for that EGM is fake and the address the EGM was supposed to have been held is actually the address of a tile shop. And that has given birth to the name ‘Parti Kedai Jubin’ or ‘Tile Shop Party’. Going by the Societies Act, there is no way the Registrar of Societies can ignore this crime or avoid taking action against Ezam.

A police report has also been made against the previous party secretary-general, S. Gobi Krishnan, over the theft of RM105,000 of the party’s money. Gobi is also the one who was bribed by Ezam and who conspired to fabricate the Minutes of the EGM that was never held at that tile shop and the fake attendees list with the forged signatures.

Mohamad Zaini Jaafar, Huan Cheng Guan and Kumaar Aaman accuse Ezam of stealing the party via a fake EGM and fabricated papers

Ezam could have easily avoided all this by spending a bit of that RM10 million to hold a genuine EGM with real people attending. However, because of his greed, he tried to save some money by faking the Minutes of the meeting with fake attendees and forged signatures at the address of a tile shop.

Isn’t this what the English call penny-wise-pound-foolish? Just to save a few thousand of that RM10 million, Ezam might have just blown away another RM90 million, the balance of what he is supposed to receive, now that he has made a fool of himself and may have to spend the next general election in jail, yet again.
