Mahathir is Wrong; The World is Not Lamenting Over Malaysia!
(The Malaysian Observer) – Despite what Mahathir may fantasise, people around the world are not sitting around in the homes, coffee houses and offices discussing the various happenings which are taking place in Malaysia.
Well, perhaps some of those involved in foreign (USA/RM) exchange may have some interest; just like in the days of BMF.
If Tun Mahathir has forgotten about that glorious time, he need but have Lim Kit Siang remind him over a cup of teh tarik.
Other than that Tun Mahathir is wrong. The world does not care about what takes place outside of their area of concern; people are busy focusing on what concerns them.
Those who have heard something about 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB), have done so because those who make up the Anti-Najib Campaign (ANC) are hell bent on the removal of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak from office by hook or crook; even to the point of disparaging Malaysia.
They are those ones who have fed fabricated stories to both the local and foreign press in hopes of getting people in other nations talking about Malaysia.
Tun Mahathir wants to shame Malaysians into believing that the world has lost respect for Malaysia. The truth may be closer to those who had respect for Tun Mahathir have lost that respect as a result of his doing whatever he can to secure his son Mukhriz the top spot in Malaysian politics.
Tun Mahathir believes that this (more than likely) last gasp to use 1MDB will convince Malaysians that the world is collectively throwing ashes on their heads as they lament over what is to become of Malaysia and its future.
Conversely, we may soon have Tun Mahathir and Lim Kit Siang who as the ones tossing ash over their heads and lamenting over their own agendas.
Mahathir’s own agendas which have been written about include:
* The removal of the Prime Minister Najib Razak
* Positioning his son Mukhriz to become Prime Minister.
When it comes to Lim Kit Siang it appears that he is not too concerned (if he ever was) about becoming deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister; it is about influencing those who that he through his DAP-led opposition can place in Putrajaya.
But that is not all…
