Najib blasts former Umno leaders for working with DAP

(MMO) – Datuk Seri Najib Razak today criticised former leaders who betrayed Umno to work with its political enemies, in apparent reference to Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

The former prime minister and former deputy prime minister are respectively the chairman and president of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia, a member of the Pakatan Harapan opposition pact.

“One, two of our former leaders including a statesman has betrayed our party. He is trying to bring down the party he had lead for years because of a personal agenda.

“We have not forgotten who taught us that DAP is racist. If it’s not him, who? Who ingrained in us that DAP is a chauvinist and racist party that hates Malays and Islam?”Najib said during his speech at Umno’s 71st anniversary celebration at Bukit Jalil today.
