Pakatan has surprises in store for Johor in GE14

(The Star) – Pakatan Harapan will field its heavyweights to contest in Johor for the upcoming general election, said a Parti Amanah Negara member.

The party’s deputy president Salahuddin Ayub said this was because Johor, which is a Barisan Nasional fortress, would be a game changer in Malaysia’s political landscape.

“We are confident that with the right strategies and approach, Johor will become a tight battlefield in GE14.

“Pakatan Harapan will give priority to our main figures to contest in the state during the election,” he said at a press conference at the Southern Chinese Press Club here Thursday.

He pointed out that in the previous election, PKR and DAP fielded their heavyweight candidates, which helped the Opposition to win several key seats in the state.

“We know that this is the right time for us to win Johor as the rakyat has become tired of Barisan.

“Just wait and see as there will be a few surprises from Pakatan for Johor,” said Salahuddin.
