‘Is Lim Kit Siang a newly-minted billionaire?’
(Malaysia Outlook) – Is DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang going to come out and deny the latest allegation put forth by blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin, or will he remain quiet?
Social activist Tunku Abdul Aziz Tunku Ibrahim, in asking this, wants to know if Lim is a newly-minted billionaire, as suggested by Raja Petra in an article that was published last week.
Raja Petra claimed that Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad had offered Lim a bribe of RM1 billion in order for the former Prime Minister to be made the chairman of Pakatan Harapan.
Part of that deal, according to Raja Petra, was Lim will not spill the beans on the Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) foreign exchange (forex) scandal of the 90s and Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir be given a safe Parliament seat to contest in the upcoming General Election.
The blogger claimed that RM750 million has been paid thus far, and once Mukhriz’s seat is confirmed, the balance will be paid.
Speaking at a press conference at the Hilton Hotel, here today, Tunku Abdul Aziz said DAP members and Lim’s loyal supporters have a right to know what the situation is really like.
“Will Lim deny the allegation that Raja Petra has made and proceed to sue him?” Tunku Abdul Aziz asked.
