Because of DAP Mahathir cannot become Prime Minister

DAP screwed up big time. Because their recent party election on 12th November 2017 — just like the one on 15th December 2012 and 29th September 2013 — was illegal, Pakatan Harapan cannot get registered. So, even if Pakatan Harapan wins 112 seats or more in the general election, the Barisan Nasional Chairman is still going to be the Prime Minister. That is because even if 100% of the Chinese vote for DAP at most they can win will be 50 or so parliament seats. And DAP is DAP and not Pakatan Harapan.

DAP: THE INSIDE STORY

It has always been the trademark or modus operandi of Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad — and those who are close to him or within his inner circle can testify to this. When he wanted an ‘explosion’ to be triggered in Parliament he stayed away and allowed Shahidan Kassim, the then BBC (Back Benchers Club) Chairman, to trigger the explosion.

And the explosion that Shahidan triggered was the announcement that certain Umno leaders were plotting to topple the Deputy Prime Minister, Tun Ghafar Baba, and a number of Cabinet Ministers. When the reporters asked Mahathir who these plotters are, he replied he does not know so why not ask Shahidan since he made the revelation.

It was actually a warning shot — or a shot across the bow, as they would say — to the plotters that Mahathir knows about the conspiracy and he knows who the conspirators are. But Mahathir wanted someone else to fire that shot and he made sure he was away when the shot was fired.

Mahathir the next Prime Minister of Malaysia?

The same with the Memali incident. Mahathir made sure he was ‘away’ when the bloodshed started and Malaysians thought he was in China at that time when actually he was sitting quietly in his office monitoring what was going on.

So it is no surprise that Mahathir was on ‘sick leave’ when Pakatan Harapan announced him as their candidate for Prime Minister with Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail as his Deputy Prime Minister (READ HERE). The decision was made by G5: which is Mahathir himself, Wan Azizah, Muhyiddin Yassin, Lim Guan Eng and Mohamed Sabu.

Can you see where we are going with this?

Now, can that happen? Can Mahathir become the Prime Minister if Pakatan Harapan wins not less than 112 parliament seats in the next general election? Well, first of all read Articles number 40a and number 43 of the Federal Constitution of Malaysia.

Article 40a (2) The Yang di-Pertuan Agong may act in his discretion in the performance of the following functions, that is to say (a) the appointment of a Prime Minister.

Article 43 (a) the Yang di-Pertuan Agong shall first appoint as Perdana Menteri (Prime Minister) to preside over the Cabinet a member of the House of Representative who in his judgment is likely to command the confidence of the majority of the members of that House.

His Majesty the Agong and not ‘G5’ decides who becomes Prime Minister

Those students of English will be able to note and understand the key words and phrases in those two Articles — which are ‘discretion’, ‘who in his judgement’, ‘is likely’, ‘command the confidence’, and ‘the majority of the members of the House’.

In other words, His Majesty the Agong decides and not ‘G5’ decides who becomes the Prime Minister. There are certain criteria to follow and this criteria must be met before the Agong gives his consent.

Let us say Barisan Nasional wins 110 seats in Parliament while DAP wins 50 seats, PKR 40, PPBM 10 and PAN 12. The total for DAP, PKR, PPBM and PAN may be 112 parliament seats but Pakatan Harapan is not legally registered so they cannot claim that Pakatan Harapan won 112 seats versus only 110 for Barisan Nasional. It will be 110 Barisan Nasional seats versus 50 seats for DAP, 40 for PKR, 10 for PPBM and 12 for PAN.

Even if Barisan Nasional wins 111 seats it will be 111 versus four other parties totalling 111 seats and not 111 for Barisan Nasional versus 111 for Pakatan Harapan. So, with 111 seats, Barisan Nasional gets to form the government since DAP has only 50 seats, PKR 40, PPBM 10 and PAN 11.

Again, can you see where we are going with this?

The next GE must be seen as Mahathir versus Najib and not Kit Siang versus Najib

Basically, in His Majesty’s ‘judgement’, Barisan Nasional ‘commands the confidence of the majority of the members of the House’ so His Majesty can apply his ‘discretion’ to appoint the Chairman of Barisan Nasional as the Prime Minister.

Yet again, can you see where we are going with this?

Where we are going with this is DAP screwed up big time. Kit Siang wants the Malays to think that Mahathir is the next Prime Minister or else the Malay votes are gone

DAP knows that with 100% Chinese support and 50 or so seats Pakatan Harapan is not going to form the new federal government. They need Malay votes and to win as many of the Umno seats as possible (and Rafizi Ramli says they are targeting 40 Malay seats mainly in the Felda areas).

Hence they needed to announce that Mahathir is going to be Prime Minister with Anwar Ibrahim’s wife as the Deputy. This will deflect the suspicion that Lim Kit Siang is going to be Prime Minister. If not the next general election will be seen as Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak versus Prime Minister-in-waiting Lim Kit Siang. And naming Mahathir as Prime Minister is safe when they know it may never happen.

Pakatan Harapan’s target is Umno. They need to kill Umno to kill Barisan Nasional. If Umno wins 80-90 parliament seats then it is game over for Pakatan Harapan. Umno must be reduced to less than 50 seats so that DAP has more seats than Umno. Then it will DAP versus Umno and not Pakatan Harapan versus Barisan Nasional.

And Kit Siang hopes that once DAP has more seats than Umno there will be many defections and Barisan Nasional will be utterly destroyed and will no longer exist. Then DAP can renegotiate who should be the Prime Minister based on who has the most number of seats in Parliament — which by then, of course, will be DAP.

So, can you finally see where we are going with this? And I bet if we did not point this out you would never have seen where this was going.
