Mahathir will appoint Mukhriz and not Wan Azizah as the DPM: Part 3
Once Mahathir becomes the Prime Minister (if Pakatan Harapan wins the coming general election or GE14) he is first going to appoint Mukhriz his deputy. Of course, there will be protests but that will be only for a short while because money can close people’s mouths. Then Mahathir will make sure his proxies, nominees and cronies transfer back the RM100 billion to him. Hence the RM1 billion ‘investment’ in Kit Siang is dedak compared to the RM100 billion that is at stake.
THE CORRIDORS OF POWER
Raja Petra Kamarudin
How did Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad transform from being the most hated man in Malaysia to becoming Pakatan Harapan’s Prime Minister-in-waiting. Well, that can be explained with just one four-letter word. Yes, that’s right, duit!
RM1 billion can buy a lot of things. It can turn Lim Kit Siang and DAP from swearing that if Pakatan Harapan ever comes to power Mahathir will be the first person they send to jail for 100 years to swearing that Mahathir is the only person amongst 32 million Malaysians who can steal the Malay votes from Umno (Kit Siang: No Pakatan leader besides Dr Mahathir can draw Malay votes).
RM1 billion can also get Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia or PPBM admitted as a member of Pakatan Harapan. It can get Mahathir nominated as Pakatan Harapan’s ‘Top Dog’. It can get Mahathir anointed as Pakatan Harapan’s Prime Minister-in-waiting.
RM1 billion can get Kit Siang eating out of Mahathir’s hands
Yes, RM1 billion can buy a lot of things. As what Mahathir himself said, it is all about money. Cash is king. Just spread dedak around and you will get even your worst enemies eating out of your hands. Mahathir has proven that even hard-core Kit Siang and DAP will kowtow to money. And now Mahathir owns Kit Siang, DAP and Pakatan Harapan.
Do you think Kit Siang, DAP and Pakatan Harapan will accept PPBM as a member of the coalition and Mahathir as their Prime Minister for free? Do you think PAN’s Mat Sabu will become Mahathir’s pet poodle unless he receives millions? Such a thing does not come free. It does not even come cheap. It comes with a RM1 billion price tag personally for Kit Siang plus a huge election fund for Pakatan Harapan to match Umno’s and Barisan Nasional’s war-chest.
And do you think Mahathir is prepared to pay RM1 billion personally to Kit Siang plus give Pakatan Harapan a huge election fund to match Umno’s and Barisan Nasional’s war-chest just so that Anwar Ibrahim can be made the Prime Minister and his wife the Deputy Prime Minister? Mahathir would rather die than see Anwar become Prime Minister and this video below shows Mahathir’s disgust and utter contempt towards Anwar.

Mahathir shows disgust and utter contempt towards Anwar
That video was more than three years ago when Mahathir first launched his move to oust Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak. At that time Mahathir thought he did not need Anwar, Kit Siang and Pakatan Harapan so he need not say nice things about them.
But that was back in 2014 when Mahathir thought Najib would be out by July 2015. When the coup d’état failed and instead Mukhriz was ousted as the Kedah Menteri Besar in February 2016, Mahathir realised he could not oust Najib on his own and needed to work with Anwar, Kit Siang and Pakatan Harapan to oust Najib. So now Mahathir needs to play nice with Anwar, Kit Siang and Pakatan Harapan. And that ‘play nice’ involves RM1 billion.
The bottom line is Mahathir wants Mukhriz to become the Prime Minister. In 2002, Mahathir discussed this with Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi but in 2004 Pak Lah let Mahathir down and Khairy Jamaluddin won the Umno Youth deputy’s post instead of Mukhriz. And that was why in June 2006 Mahathir made his move to oust Pak Lah.
Mahathir expected Najib to help Mukhriz win the Umno Youth leadership in 2009 and an Umno Vice President’s post in 2013
In 2009, Najib took over and Mahathir expected him to help Mukhriz win the Umno Youth leadership but, again, Khairy won and Mukhriz lost. Mahathir gave Najib another chance in 2013 when Mukhriz contested an Umno Vice President’s post but, yet again, Mukhriz lost.
That was it! Mahathir made up his mind that Najib must go. And in 2014 Mahathir launched his move to oust Najib using the 1MDB issue as the catalyst. If Najib will not help Mukhriz then Mahathir has to oust him. Mahathir was getting old and time was no longer on his side so Mukhriz has to be made the Prime Minister before Mahathir leaves this world. And if that cannot be done through Umno then it has to be done through Pakatan Harapan.
So, when Mahathir resigned from Umno on 29th February 2016 and walked over to Pakatan Harapan it was all about Plan B. Plan A was to make Mukhriz the Prime Minister through Umno. Plan B was to make Mukhriz the Prime Minister through Pakatan Harapan.
Plan B is to use Pakatan Harapan to make Mukhriz the Prime Minister
Mahathir had budgeted billions to oust Najib just so that Mukhriz could become Prime Minister. Hence RM1 billion for Kit Siang is what Mahathir would call dedak. RM1 billion is nothing. It is just 1% of the RM100 billion that was at stake. Yes, making Mukhriz the Prime Minister is not just about perpetuating the Mahathir political dynasty. It is also about securing Mahathir’s RM100 billion that he has parked under proxies, nominees and cronies.
Mahathir made a huge mistake that Tun Daim Zainuddin avoided. Just before Daim left office in March 1991, he got his proxies, nominees and cronies to transfer back the RM60 billion that he had parked under their names and moved his money overseas. So now Daim’s RM60 billion is safely parked in more than a dozen foreign banks. Mahathir, however, did not do the same when he left office in November 2003 and now all that money is stuck.
All it takes is money to turn Mat Sabu into Mahathir’s pet poodle
Mahathir is a master of dealing with corrupt people. He became Prime Minister and stayed for 22 years through this method. Mahathirism is about using corruption to exploit corrupt people as a means to achieve the end. And Mahathir knows the Pakatan Harapan leaders have no morals, integrity and honour and are corrupt to the core. And these are the type of people Mahathir loves.
People may ask why should Mahathir ‘waste’ RM1 billion just to become the interim Prime Minister? This is not about ‘wasting’ RM1 billion. This is about saving RM100 billion. If Mahathir had done what Daim did, which is take back the RM100 billion he had parked under proxies, nominees and cronies just before he left office in November 2003, all this would not be necessary. But Mahathir miscalculated the honesty and integrity of his proxies, nominees and cronies. They fear political power and currently Mahathir has none. So, they can keep the RM100 billion without any fear. Only when Mahathir becomes Prime Minister again will the proxies, nominees and cronies rush to return back the RM100 billion. That is the long and short of it all.
