Who’s the actual coward, Wee asks Guan Eng

(The Star) – Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong believes it is ironic that he has been labelled as a coward when it is Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng who refuses to debate him on the Penang undersea tunnel.

“He is the one who refuses to accept a debate with me on the tunnel and I am a coward?” he asked.

The MCA deputy president said he – and the public – would not be able to distinguish between fact and fiction if Lim did not engage him in debate to clarify the matter.

He said Guan Eng should be brave even though his father Lim Kit Siang had labelled Dr Wee a “ninja assassin”. 

“I can assure Guan Eng that I have never received any training in my life to be either a ninja or an assassin,” he quipped.

In a statement posted on his Facebook page on Saturday (March 18), Lim said Dr Wee should stop his “cowardly lies” and seek the truth instead.

He also accused Dr Wee of trying to sabotage the mega project for the political benefit at the expense of Penangites.

“Top Barisan Nasional leaders can easily escape traffic jams in Penang by calling on helicopters, an option not available to both the Penang Chief Minister and ordinary motorists.

“What then is the alternative for ordinary Penangites?” Lim had asked.
