Third Datuk remanded for seven days over Ijok land deal
(The Star) – The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has obtained a remand order for a third Datuk to help with the investigation into the RM1.18bil Ijok land deal.
The 53-year-old man will be held for seven days until March 28 after Magistrate Ainna Sherina Saipolamin allowed an application by prosecutors from the Malaysian MACC on Thursday (March 22).
He is the seventh person to be remanded over the project.
On Wednesday, six people were arrested, including two Datuks and a father and son.
To date, the MACC has frozen 43 bank accounts worth RM86.7mil.
