No need for police report, says Nik Abduh on ‘PAS-Umno’ recording

The Pasir Mas MP says it is just a political ploy ahead of GE14.

(FMT) – Pasir Mas MP Nik Mohamad Abduh Nik Aziz said he would not lodge a police report over a recording in which he allegedly stated that PAS had taken money from Umno.

Denying that it was his voice in the recording, Nik Abduh said there was no need to invoke the name of Allah in his claim to innocence as he knew he had spoken the truth.

“It is up to the people to evaluate the situation.

“My father was slandered hundreds of times but never took any cases to court,” he added, referring to PAS’ late spiritual leader Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat.

“He said let it be decided in the court of Allah,” he told reporters when asked about the recording.

Claiming that the recording was fake, Nik Abduh said it was just a political ploy ahead of the 14th general election (GE14).

“They want to tell voters that PAS is with Umno. That is why the recording was created.”

He added however that the people were fed up with such tactics, and that voters were aware that PAS was working alone to champion Islam in the country.

On Feb 28, Nik Abduh had called the recording slander and urged those spreading the audio clip to repent.
