“Bulan (PAS) mengaku, Hadi mengaku dia terima duit daripada UMNO, anak Nik Aziz pun mengaku terima duit daripada UMNO…jadi dia sekarang ini jadi hamba UMNO lah ni. Sebab itu mereka masuk, masuk bertanding bukan nak menang tapi nak tarik undi supaya parti Pakatan ini tak akan dapat banyak undi, supaya Najib akan menang.”
That was what Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said in his ceramah at Felda Bukit Tangga last night. The fact is at the end of this month Clare Rewcastle Brown and her Sarawak Report are going to be in court and they might not be able to postpone the case any longer.
Clare has been trying to delay the case until after the general election on 9th May 2018 but unless they can convince the court at the end of this month to allow them this delay that may not be possible. The problem is Clare is still not able to prove that Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak paid the PAS President, Abdul Hadi Awang, a RM90 million bribe — and that is what the entire case is all about.

Clare said Najib bribed Hadi RM90 million. So Hadi’s suit is centred around this allegation and Clare will need to adduce the evidence. But there is no evidence mainly because it did not happen and is not true. So how does Clare prove something non-existent?
So what Clare is trying to do is to argue her case based on ‘the common perception’ or ‘the talk on the ground’ or ‘according to what people say’ and so on. And that is why Mahathir made that allegation last night, so that Clare can use it as ‘evidence of what people say’.

But then the problem is Mahathir is not mentally at his best any more nowadays. Mahathir was referring to the so-called ‘taped confession’ of Nik Mohamad Abduh Nik Abdul Aziz, which Clare is using in her defence. First of all, Nik Abduh has denied that recording. Secondly, it has not been proven that the voice in the tape recording is his. Thirdly, the recording talks about the Sarawak state election and there is no mention of Najib bribing Hadi RM90 million.

Mahathir is not only angry with PAS for not hating Umno, he is also angry that PAS is going to contest the 14th general election on 9th May 2018. By why can’t PAS contest the general election? Anyone can contest the general election. Why is it any one of the millions of Malaysians can contest the general election except PAS?

PAS is a legally registered party. It is even older than DAP, which got registered only in 1965. PPBM is not a legally registered party and yet they are contesting GE14. If an illegal party like PPBM can contest GE14, then why can’t PAS, a legally registered party, contest as well? In fact, PPBM does not exist so they are not actually contesting GE14. It is PKR that is contesting. Not even DAP and PAN are contesting.
Anyway, what’s wrong if PAS works with Umno? Is that not what Islam stipulates: perpaduan ummah or unity of the community. Mahathir is condemning PAS for doing what Islam makes compulsory. What type of Muslim is Mahathir who condemns Muslim unity and wants Muslims to fight one another?
This is what is happening all over the Muslim world. Muslims fight Muslims and Muslims kill Muslims. Millions are dying. But when in Malaysia Muslims unite, Mahathir gets angry and calls PAS the slave of Umno because they refuse to fight and kill each other.
If PAS is the slave of Umno then what is Mahathir? Is he not also the slave of DAP? Mahathir does not have a party. He does not even have a coalition. Mahathir will be contesting under PKR — as will DAP and PAN and all those other members of the now defunct PPBM.

Mahathir condemns PAS for what he says is their collaboration with Umno. Even if it is true that PAS is collaborating with Umno, what is wrong with that? Mahathir is collaborating with DAP. Is that not worse than PAS collaborating with Umno if it is true they are collaborating? At least PAS and Umno share the same vision on Islam. DAP is anti-Islam and is bitterly opposed to the Sharia laws. The reason DAP kicked PAS out of Pakatan is because of the amendments to the Sharia laws.
DAP can never accept Sharia laws. As the late Karpal Singh said, “Over my dead body!” Umno never said, “Over my dead body!” Of course, Umno used to say “Over my dead body!” when Mahathir was the Prime Minister. But they never say it any longer since Najib became the Prime Minister.
The late Nik Aziz Nik Mat said that PAS does not hate Umno. As long as Umno does not oppose Islam then PAS can work with Umno. And did not Lim Kit Siang and Lim Guan Eng say that Nik Aziz was a great and noble man and DAP loves him? So now, under Najib, Umno does not oppose Islam. So why should PAS hate Umno?

But Mahathir, Kit Siang, Guan Eng, dan orang-orang yang sewaktu dengan mereka hate Hadi and PAS. And they hate Hadi and PAS because Hadi and PAS refuse to hate Najib and Umno.
Well, we hate Mahathir because Mahathir refuses to hate Kit Siang and DAP, just like how Mahathir hates Hadi and PAS because they refuse to hate Najib and Umno. Is that hate justified? If Mahathir’s hate is justified then why is our hate not justified? Mahathir hates Hadi and PAS because they refuse to hate Najib and Umno. So, it is justified that we hate Mahathir since he refuses to hate Kit Siang and DAP.
