PAS veep calls RM90m allegation ‘ridiculous’

So far, those who made the allegation had not been able to provide any evidence that PAS had received the money allegedly given by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak to gain support from the party.

(Bernama) – PAS leadership’s move in not making any clarification on the allegation that the party had received funds of RM90 million from Umno was because the party does not wish to interrupt the legal process involving the party’s lawsuit at the London High Court.

PAS vice-president Datuk Nik Amar Nik Abdullah said the decision was made upon advice from the party’s lawyers as the lawsuit filed by party president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang against Sarawak Report was scheduled for trial on April 30.

He said, so far, those who made the allegation had not been able to provide any evidence that PAS had received the money allegedly given by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak to gain support from the party.

“We are contesting all Umno seats… why would Umno gives us money to fight them? Wouldn’t that be ridiculous?” he said at the “You Ask, PAS Answers” talk here last night.

Meanwhile, Pahang PAS Commissioner Rosli Jabar confirmed that there would be no outside candidate would be brought in to be represent the party in the state in the upcoming general election.

PAS will contest all 14 parliamentary seats and 40 state seats in Pahang, he added.
