Why should Najib care?

Najib should not worry about what the white skins (or brown and yellow skins) in the UK, the US, Australia, and so on, think of him. What is important is what the 82,000 or so Pekan voters think of him. Maybe roughly 60,000 voters will come out to vote so Najib has to make sure he gets at least 40,000 of those votes. That is all that matters, the 82,000 Pekan voters, not the white skins (or brown and yellow skins) in the UK, the US, Australia, etc.

THE CORRIDORS OF POWER

Raja Petra Kamarudin

Foreign anti-government bloggers such as Australian Hussein Abdul Hamid and British Clare Rewcastle Brown love talking about how unpopular Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak is amongst the foreigners. The fact that foreign journalists in the UK, the US, Australia, and so on, condemn Najib, Umno, Barisan Nasional, the Malaysian government, the New Economic Policy, the Malay special privileges, etc., is testimony of their deep hatred for the country.

At this late stage in the game, Najib should not worry about what the white skins think of him. After all, white skins (and brown or yellow skins who live in white skin countries) hate Umno and Barisan Nasional and everything in any way associated with the government. And none of these people are registered voters in Pekan or in any of other 221 parliamentary constituencies.

Najib needs to first worry about the 82,000 Pekan voters and then the Malays and Bumiputera/natives in another 154 parliament seats

To these white skins — or the brown and yellow skins who live in white countries — everything white is great and everything Asian (or African) is bad. That is why most of the one million Malaysians who live outside Malaysia are anti-Umno, anti-Barisan Nasional and anti-government. Why do you think the opposition is raising money and is organising transportation for these people to return to Malaysia to vote? They know the majority of the votes of the overseas Malaysians will go to the opposition pact.

I like to use the analogy of the three pizza shops to explain this. One has the sign ‘The Best Pizza in the World’. The other has the sign ‘The Best Pizza in the Country’. And the third has the sign ‘The Best Pizza on this Street’. Guess why there is a long queue outside the pizza shop that has the sign ‘The Best Pizza on this Street’?

The majority of the one million overseas Malaysians are anti-government

So Najib should not worry about what the white skins (or brown and yellow skins) in the UK, the US, Australia, and so on, think of him.

Next, Najib has to worry about the Malay voters in the Malay heartland and the Bumiputera or native voters in Sabah and Sarawak in about 155 of the 222 parliament seats all over Malaysia. The Chinese and Indians (and many Malays as well) in 67 of the urban seats are still going to hate Najib, Umno, Barisan Nasional and the government whatever you might do for them.

The Chinese are never going to love the government whatever you do for them

You can build a Chinese school on every street and a Hindu temple at every junction and these people are still going to hate you. You can abolish GST, highway toll charges, personal income tax, road tax, petrol tax, and much more, and they are still going to hate you. Hell, you can even drop your pants and bend over and they are still going to hate you. So, getting them to love you is a lost cause. Focus instead on those who love you.

So, the opposition pact wants to wipe out all the Chinese leaders in Barisan Nasional. Well, then let it be. Why must Najib lose sleep over the matter? If there are no Chinese in the government then the government will comprise of Malays from West Malaysia and Bumiputeras or natives from Sabah and Sarawak.

It is the Chinese who will rugi, not the Malays from West Malaysia and Bumiputeras or natives from Sabah and Sarawak. Do we need Chinese in the government if the Chinese themselves do not want Chinese in the government?

Umno can run Malaysia with the Bumiputeras-natives from Sabah and Sarawak if the Chinese do not want Chinese in the government

So, let the opposition pact kill off all the Barisan Nasional Chinese leaders. Then Umno needs not worry about nak jaga hati the Chinese by giving them more Chinese schools, positions in the government, and much more. If the Chinese want anything then ask them to go talk to DAP —  since they voted for DAP and not for MCA, Gerakan, MIC, PPP, or any of the other Barisan Nasional parties.

The Chinese say they do not need Barisan Nasional. Maybe it is time that we also tell them that Barisan Nasional does not need them. Then we will see if the Chinese really like living in a country where the Chinese isolate themselves and live their own life without any interaction with the government. This will be just like back in the 1800s when the British ruled the Straits Settlements and the Chinese ruled themselves without any British help.
