PPBM shedding crocodile tears over RoS ban, BN man claims
See-To claimed the Opposition party had always intended to contest the general election on PKR’s ticket.
(MMO) – Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) protestations about its provisional deregistration were disingenuous, a Barisan Nasional leader asserted yesterday.
BN strategic communications deputy director Eric See-To claimed the Opposition party had always intended to contest the general election on PKR’s ticket, despite its apparent action to criticise and challenge the Registrar of Societies.
He said PPBM knew its logo lacked recognition.
“I will tell you this. If I give Parti Bersatu the right to use their logo to contest today, they will not use it. It was something that they didn’t want,” he said at a forum last night.
He pointed out that PPBM will still use PKR’s logo despite securing a court decision that reversed the provisional deregistration.
PPBM and PH were still harping on the matter for sympathy, he added.
“So what are they complaining about? It’s only because they want to cheat Malaysians’ vote,” See-To said.
The High Court in Kuala Lumpur on Monday allowed PPBM’s application for judicial review and reversed the provisional deregistration applied by the RoS.
The RoS provisionally banned PPBM a day before Parliament was dissolved and gave the party 30 days to comply with the agency’s demand for paperwork.
