Pakatan Harapan government to review court charges against leaders
(MMO) – The new government will review the convictions made in the courts against Pakatan Harapan (PH) leaders, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said.
Dr Mahathir told a press conference last night that a just review will be made and that no one would have to be punished if they are found innocent by the existing laws.
“We need to look at all these previous charges especially against those who were in the Opposition to see if there is actually a case against them or if it was just politically-motivated.
“The conviction will be reviewed based on the existing laws of this country,” he said.
One of the PH leaders that will probably be acquitted of his court charges is former Pandan MP Rafizi Ramli who was sentenced to 30 months in jail for exposing confidential banking information relating to the National Feedlot Corporation.
