Anwar is just lobbying for the support of the Raja-Raja Melayu to take over as Prime Minister in May 2020
Fadiah Nadwa Fikri is still upset that Anwar Ibrahim had an audience with and kissed the hand of His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, the Sultan of Johor, soon after he received his pardon and got released from jail (READ HERE).
Fadiah says this is an old feudal practice that should be abolished. Actually, there are many old feudal practices that should be abolished. For example, all the Malay Hindus converted to Islam just because their Sultans did. If not, the Malays would today be praying in Batu Caves instead of at Mekah.
If not because of the Raja-Raja Melayu, today there would be more Malays than Indians at Batu Caves
Until today, Malays are not allowed to go back to Hinduism. That is one more feudal practice that Fadiah should fight to abolish. Why must Malays follow their Raja-Raja Melayu and become Muslims? Why can’t they convert back to Hinduism? After all, feudalism should be abolished.
Anyway, Anwar kissed the hand of the Sultan of Johore soon after he came out from jail not because of feudalism. Anwar was touring the whole country to meet all the Raja-Raja Melayu to gain support.
The truth is Anwar is worried that Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad will not allow him to take over as Malaysia’s Eighth Prime Minister in May 2020. Anwar may even be arrested and jailed for Sodomy 3. Hence, he is trying to lobby for the support of the Raja-Raja Melayu so that he can face Mahathir in May 2020 when the fight to become the next Prime Minister starts.
Anwar’s and Mahathir’s marriage ended in 1997 and can never be reconciled
In fact, Anwar did the same in 2004 when he got released from jail for Sodomy 1. On 2nd September 2004, Anwar met up with Khairy Jamaluddin. When Mahathir found out he was so angry that Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi a.k.a. Pak Lah had to come out with an explanation.
On 15th November 2004. Anwar met up with Tun Daim Zainuddin and Sarawak Governor Abdul Taib Mahmud in Pak Lah’s house in Kepala Batas. The four of them sat around a table discussing Anwar’s return to Umno.
Yes, in November 2004, Anwar was negotiating his return to Umno. However, Mahathir and the Umno supreme council rejected the idea so Anwar was forced to remain in PKR.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, was when I decided to abandon Anwar and regarded him as an enemy.
Anwar used Taib to try to convince Mahathir to allow him back into Umno in November 2004
Many do not understand why in November 2004 I ‘turned’ on Anwar. Well, Anwar was trying to return to Umno and abandon all of us who had suffered and sacrificed for him for six years from 1998 to 2004. It was most fortunate that Mahathir was bitterly opposed to Anwar being allowed back into Umno and the Umno supreme council rejected the idea. So, Anwar was forced to lead the opposition instead.
But even with Anwar leading the opposition in the 2008 and 2013 general elections he could still not defeat Umno and Barisan Nasional. It was not until Mahathir took over the leadership of the opposition in 2018 that they succeeded. In short, Anwar is a loser and will remain so. And he will never be Prime Minister if you leave it to Mahathir.
And that was the reason Anwar toured Malaysia to kiss the hands of the Raja-Raja Melayu. It is not because of feudalism or that Anwar is demonstrating respect for the Rulers. It is because he wants to become Prime Minister and he is hoping he can get the support of the Raja-Raja Melayu if he takes on Mahathir in May 2020.

So, Fadiah Nadwa Fikri, do you now understand what is happening? So, stop getting your knickers all tied up in knots because Anwar is as anti-Raja-Raja Melayu as Mahathir is. Anwar is just trying to get the support of the Raja-Raja Melayu to kick out Mahathir and take over as Prime Minister in 2020.
