Malaysiakini Attacks Dr Mahathir, Free Malaysia Today Defends Him

MALAYSIA SHOULD JUST CANCEL THE GOLDMAN SACHS BOND DEAL, THE CHINESE ECRL DEAL AND THE SINGAPORE WATER AGREEMENT.
I think that last part should wake up my friend Mr Vanu Gopala Menon the Singapore High Commissioner in Kuala Lumpur.
I have said this before (when my blog was less popular and maybe people do not recall it or grasped the thought) but when Ho Chi Minh liberated Vietnam from the French, among the first things he did was to repudiate (cancel, abolish, batalkan) ALL international treaties that had been entered into by colonial Vietnam under the French.
Ho Chi Minh said that the new independent Vietnam would not be held responsible or liable for treaties imposed upon its people by the colonials and their corrupt local cronies. This was a very fair statement and Ho Chi Minh did follow through on what he said. Hence the western banks and business interests waged their war against Vietnam. The French and American taxpayers’ expenditure on the war helped them recoup some of their monies lost in Vietnam.
In the same way when we became Independent in 1957 I believe we should have repudiated ALL treaties entered into by colonial Malaya under the absolute control of the colonial British. Including the Singapore Water Agreements.
I do not wish to alarm the Singapore High Commissioner too much. Singapore needs security of water supply. I strongly believe and support that Malaysia should supply MORE of Singapore’s water requirements. But on a fair basis.
I believe a Malaysia Singapore Water Agreement should consist of just two lines:
1. Malaysia shall supply water to Singapore in perpetuity. (This takes care of the water security issue for Singapore).
2. The supply of water shall be according to terms dictated by Malaysia and agreed upon by Singapore.
(This will enable Malaysia as owner of the water resources to protect its commercial rights as well as give Singapore the buyer its rights as a paying consumer. Water supply to Singapore should be no different from water supply to Johor Bahru or Kuala Lumpur.)
If the Singaporeans had more sense they would agree to repudiate the old colonial agreement and negotiate something that is better acceptable.
Similarly that Goldman Sachs bond agreement (for 1MDB) obviously had criminal intent (money corruption). The Goldman Sachs banker who arranged the 1MDB bond deal has since faced investigation and been found guilty of wrong doing in at least one country. The crooked former Prime Minister who authorised it had criminal intent and has been implicated by the US DOJ and is also facing criminal charges in Malaysia. That Goldman Sachs bond agreement should just be repudiated. Malaysia does not have to honour a criminal act.
Malaysia should pass an Act of Parliament and announce to the world that we are repudiating that entire bond deal. That will teach a real lesson to the fraudulent bankers.
The same thing with the Chinese ECRL contracts. Obviously they have been overpriced. The Chinese also paid monies in advance. It was a corrupt deal where the ex Prime Minister and his cronies were involved. It is public knowledge that the project amount announced by the Moron Prime Minister was much higher than the figure released by the Chinese themselves. Someone made some money from kickbacks.
It is good that Dr Mahathir says the ECRL project is now canned. I strongly suggest that Malaysia DO NOT pay any compensation or damages or claims. The whole contract should just be repudiated. The ECRL contract was entered into by a kleptocratic government headed by a thief and a crook. Why should the Malaysian people be burdened with the obligation to pay for someone else’s thievery? What kind of justice is that?
Anyway here is today’s story. I received an early morning phone call when I was watering the young trees in our compound. So here it is.
There is a theory that some of the Online media in the country are conducting a proxy war of sorts for their relevant masters, for the politics that they agree with or just for the heck of it.
Malaysiakini for example is said to be the proxy for the DAP.
Free Malaysia Today is strongly for the success of the Pakatan Harapan especially for Tun Dr Mahathir’s leadership. I dont think FMT gets any other support from say Bersatu.
