Why did Mahathir not discuss Jho Low with the Chinese?

Jho Low’s father is a good friend and crony of Mahathir, which was how the family became so rich in the first place. The fact that Amar Singh raided so many properties but did not raid Jho Low’s family home in Penang is proof that some sort of deal has been struck between Jho Low’s father and Mahathir. And does this deal include leaving Jho Low in China and not bringing him home?

For more than three years Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad talked about Low Taek Jho a.k.a. Jho Low and 1MDB. Mahathir kept going on and on about how Najib Tun Razak and Jho Low stole RM42 billion of 1MDB’s money. Finally, Mahathir had his chance of bringing Jho Low home to face trial in Malaysia. During Jho Low’s trial the truth about how he and Najib conspired to steal RM42 billion of 1MDB’s money would be revealed to the world.

Why did Mahathir not discuss with China’s leaders the matter of Jho Low? According to The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), Jho Low is in China and, according to Mahathir, whatever WSJ writes is the 100% truth and not even 1% lies or spin. That means Jho Low is in China and no doubt about that.

Mahathir admits he did not discuss this matter with the Chinese leaders. So, Mahathir needs to explain why. The purpose of that China trip, other than to tell the Chinese he is cancelling all their contracts because they conspired with Najib to cheat Malaysia, was to bring Jho Low home so that he can testify in his trial about how he and Najib stole RM42 billion of 1MDB’s money.
