DAP’s Boo spooked by Mahathir’s stand on PPBM?

(Sun Daily) – Former Skudai assemblyman Boo Cheng Hau has appealed to DAP Secretary-General Lim Guan Eng to urge the PH Secretariat to call an emergency presidential council meeting.

This is to seek an explanation from Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) Chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad who said that the party was race-based due to reality.

The DAP veteran said Mahathir’s statement contradicted Lim’s call for PH to abandon racial politics.

“We should forge an effort to provide new hopes to move Malaysia towards non-racial politics rather than repeating the old rhetoric,” Boo said today.

“I hold the strong view that Pakatan Harapan’s non-racial politics can never be compromised. PPBM should be given the ultimatum to fix a timetable to deracialise its own racial ideology and outlook.”

He said forging an all-Malaysian unity and non-racial politics have always been DAP’s basic principles. DAP has always been consistent in upholding these beliefs by fighting against Barisan Nasional’s race-based politics of not just MCA, but also Umno and MIC.
