This is not about turbans but about the RM43.3 million missing money

So, Amar Singh, where is that missing RM43.3 million? That is the issue, not the issue of your turban any longer. Can we focus on the missing money now? Umno is suing you for the return of RM160 million. You say you confiscated only RM116.7 million. That would mean RM43.3 million ‘fell off the back of the lorry’.

NO HOLDS BARRED

Amar Singh is turning this whole thing into a debate about his turban so that he need not explain the missing RM43.3 million

Amar Singh Ishar Singh and his supporters from the Sikh community are playing the WMD (weapon of mass distraction) game by playing up the turban issue so that people wouldn’t focus on the main issue, which is the missing RM43.3 million.

On 26th September 2018, Malaysia Today said:

Umno is suing the Government of Malaysia (GoM), the Inspector General of Police (IGP), the now very ‘famous’ Amar Singh Ishar Singh, and two others, for RM160 million (SEE LETTER BELOW). This is in relation to the raid on the Pavilion Residences about two weeks after GE14 on 25th May 2018 when they confiscated what is alleged to be RM1 billion in cash and valuables belonging to Najib Tun Razak and Rosmah Mansor.

Initially, they said the amount of cash seized was RM114 million. And then, later, they said it is RM116.7 million. Now, it seems, it was actually RM160 million. Hence RM43.3 million (to quote Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad) has lesap or disappeared into thin air.

The reference ‘your turban is too tight it is restricting the flow of blood (or oxygen) to the brain’ has been used for decades to attack PAS people, Muftis, and Muslims in general. Many degrading things have been said about Muslims who wear turbans and this has never been an issue before this. In fact, in France they call that freedom of speech or freedom of the media and they even draw caricatures of Muslim turbans with bombs in them.

So why, as KTEMOC KONSIDERS said, is Amar Singh turning a molehill into a mountain? (READ MORE HERE).

Okay, I will apologise to Amar Singh since he considers the turban quip an insult to his religion. I wanted to insult him, not his religion. So, I withdraw that tight turban quip with unconditional apologies.

Now, let’s get back to the issue of the missing RM43.3 million.

Umno is suing for the return of RM160 million. Amar Singh says only RM116.7 million was confiscated. Hence RM43.3 million has gone missing. So where is that RM43.3 million?

The Deputy IGP then says the police are going to forfeit the RM116.7 million. If they forfeit the RM116.7 million, not only do they not need to return that money, but they also need not account for the missing RM43.3 million (since they are not going to return the money anyway).

There is something very dodgy in the way they raided the apartment and confiscated what they claim is about RM1 billion in cash and valuables
