Charges against Rosmah not related to 1MDB – lawyer

(The Edge) – The 17 charges brought against Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, the wife of former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, are not related to 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) as speculated but the Anti-Money Laundering Act (AMLA), said her lawyer.

Datuk Geethan Ram Vincent said there was much speculation that the charges would be related to 1MDB but there were none.

This is the right time for his client to clear her name of the accusation, he said to reporters after the court proceedings.
