DAP’s Red Bean Army given RM10 million budget
For 18 years as the opposition, Pakatan Harapan has been teaching Barisan Nasional or the government how the country should be run. Now that Pakatan Harapan is in charge of running the government, they do a U-turn and present a budget, Budget 2019, that is the complete opposite of their ‘Alternative Budgets’ of the last 18 years.
NO HOLDS BARRED

“Let every opposition MP declare his or her stand during the budget debate starting on November 12 on whether the 1MDB scandal was a national catastrophe and whether Najib should be held responsible for Malaysia becoming a global kleptocracy or whether all the things said by the Harapan government on the 1MDB scandal were lies and slanders,” said Lim Kit Siang today.
Yes, those are the key words for the next few months. 1MDB Scandal. National Catastrophe. Global Kleptocracy.
RM10 million budget to employ these Red Bean Army cyber-troopers at RM3,000 per person a month
DAP has set aside a budget of RM10 million for the next 12 months to pay each ‘Red Bean Army’ or RBA cyber-trooper a salary of RM3,000 a month. Their job is to counter everything that Umno, Barisan Nasional and PAS say plus to keep repeating the key words: 1MDB Scandal, National Catastrophe and Global Kleptocracy.
Kit Siang wants these words ‘burned’ into the brain of every Malaysian so that they become as unforgotten as ‘May 13’.
Pakatan Harapan is facing too many problems so this game of deflection is required to shift the focus. After six months in power, Pakatan Harapan is finding out the hard way that talk is cheap while actually delivering is not that easy.
Why did Pakatan Harapan not just present their 2018 ‘Alternative Budget’ as ‘Budget 2019’?
For 18 years from 1999 to 2017, Pakatan Harapan (since when it was still called Barisan Alternatif) has been presenting its ‘Alternative Budget’ in Parliament. Each and every year Pakatan Harapan’s ‘Alternative Budget’ has been better and more impressive than Barisan Nasional’s budget or the ‘Government Budget’.
This year, the 19th year, was Pakatan Harapan’s chance of finally presenting its ‘Alternative Budget’ as the ‘Government Budget’.
But they did not. Instead of just presenting their last year’s ‘Alternative Budget’ as this year’s ‘Government Budget’, Pakatan Harapan presented an entirely new and different budget, far removed from the ‘Alternative Budgets’ of the last 18 years.
For 18 years Pakatan Harapan kept teaching Barisan Nasional how Malaysia should be run but now that Pakatan Harapan is the government they do the opposite of what they have been saying for 18 years
How come for 18 years Pakatan Harapan was able to present a better and more impressive budget than the government’s budget and now that it is the government Pakatan Harapan cannot continue to present a similar budget?
For 18 years as the opposition, Pakatan Harapan has been teaching Barisan Nasional or the government how the country should be run. Now that Pakatan Harapan is in charge of running the government, they do a U-turn and present a budget, Budget 2019, that is the complete opposite of their ‘Alternative Budgets’ of the last 18 years.
Lim Kit Siang does not want Malaysians to discuss this matter. He does not want Malaysians to realise that Budget 2019 is not only a terrible budget but is absolutely the opposite to their Alternative Budgets of the last 18 years. And this will be the job of the RBA cyber-troopers who are being paid RM3,000 each person per month to deflect the issues and distract Malaysians.
