1MDB: the movie
Malaysia Today interviewed a movie-maker who plans to produce a movie on 1MDB. In the interview, the Datuk revealed the movie plot, which shed more light on what the 1MDB scandal is really all about. It is a story of international conspiracies, intrigue, sabotage and murder. It is all about how colonisation today is no more military in nature but economic and how the power struggle between China and the US will affect Malaysia.

So, Datuk, what’s different about your movie compared to the other movies regarding 1MDB being planned? Aren’t there too many books written and too many movies being made on the same subject?
Not quite, Terence. My movie is going to adopt an entirely different angle. While the other movies will be about the investigation into 1MDB, in particular the investigation by the DoJ, mine will focus on the international conspiracy involving the Jews, China, the United States, and so on, and will be about world domination and the new colonialism via economy supremacy.
That sounds very interesting, Datuk. Are you able to reveal what the plot is going to be?
Certainly, Terence. We will start with a scene in Alor Setar, in Kedah, the pre-WWII era. A young Indian boy, a half-breed, watches from the side-lines as the Malay boys and the children of the elite play sepak raga. When he attempts to inch his way in to see whether he can join the game a Malay boy mocks him and calls him ‘Keling’ and tells him to go away.
This young Indian boy runs home and cries and his father tells him that this world is a cruel place and no one is going to give you any respect unless you fight for it and grab what you want. The father also tells his son that they are from the lower pariah class and will never be accepted into the upper crust of society unless you have power and money. Only then will your low birth not matter.
This sets the stage for one of the prime characters in the movie, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, and reveals why he does what he does with an obsession and fanaticism never matched before.
The childhood of the other characters in the movie will also be shown to give the audience an understanding of what made them into what they are today. For example, the fat Chinese boy from neighbouring Penang was born with the opposite fate to that of the Indian boy, in that he was born with a silver spoon in this mouth and lived a life of luxury. His father pampered him while becoming wealthy doing what most Chinese who become filthy-rich do, they bribe their way through life and use political connections to get rich.
This, basically, was the education the fat boy from Penang received, which is why he became what he is and is symbolic of second- or third-generation rich Chinese whose family made money through corruption and abuse of power and who never really had to work hard to get rich.
After all the characters have been introduced to the audience, mainly their childhood years, we come to the present. Then the plot begins to unfold.
It starts with a meeting in China between the powers-that-be and the fat boy from Penang who is now a young man. They discuss how to penetrate the corridors of power in Malaysia, which is perceived to be too closely aligned to the United States.
They discuss how, when the Prime Minister was still just the country’s Defence Minister, Malaysia signed a secret military agreement with the United States giving US ships free passage through the South China Sea and the Straits of Melaka. Malaysia also allows the US air force 2,000 flyovers over Malaysian air space every year and US troops do their jungle warfare training in the jungles of Johor.
China wants to break the relationship between Malaysia and the US and the fat boy will help to do this by sabotaging Malaysia’s economy so that China can come in to help bail out Malaysia with funding. Malaysia will then need to be become more pro-China and less pro-America. China will pour so much money into Malaysia that the country will be practically colonised by China.
China suggests that the fat boy propose to the powers-that-be in Malaysia to start a sovereign wealth fund and this wealth fund would then be sabotaged. China would then come in to help save the sovereign wealth fund and in return can negotiate terms beneficial to China, one being that China will replace the US as Malaysia’s number one friend.
The US, realising what China is trying to do, gets Goldman Sachs, an agency that serves the CIA, to help in the effort to sabotage the sovereign wealth fund. They assist the fat boy in syphoning out money from the sovereign wealth fund and then they hand over the evidence of this crime to the DoJ for them to act. The CIA also hands over the evidence to the opposition parties in Malaysia so that they can use it to attack the Prime Minister and bring him down.
The objective of this exercise is to replace the Prime Minister with Anwar Ibrahim, the opposition leader, who is not only pro-America but a CIA agent who has been on the payroll of the US since 1988. To help Anwar oust the Prime Minister and his party, the DoJ will go all out to expose the secret of the abuse of the sovereign wealth fund plus will pour hundreds of millions into an international media campaign to discredit the Prime Minister.
Meanwhile, Mahathir, a previous Prime Minister, who is anti-Jew and anti-Israel, and who considers the US a proxy of the Jews, wants to block Anwar from taking over as Prime Minister. He resigns from the Prime Minister’s party and sets up his own party so that he can replace Anwar as the opposition leader. He knows if Anwar takes over as Prime Minister then Malaysia would become a puppet of the US and a proxy of the Jews. Mahathir also knows if he allows the Prime Minister to remain in office then Malaysia would become a puppet of China.
So, if Mahathir does not oust the Prime Minister, Malaysia would become China’s puppet, and if Anwar becomes Prime Minister, Malaysia would become America’s puppet. To prevent either of this from happening, Mahathir must take over as Prime Minister instead. Meanwhile, Mahathir turns to Japan for money so that China and America would try to curry favour by offering him money.
Anyway, you will have to wait for the movie to come out to see what happens in the end. Does Anwar manage to take over as Prime Minister? Do China and the US give Mahathir the money he needs? Can Mahathir survive his full five-year term or does he exit after just one year or two years? The plot will get thicker towards the end and my 1MDB movie is going to be totally different from the others.
Bankers and auditors will get murdered, some disguised as suicides or accidental drowning in a swimming pool. Chinese agents will get arrested and detained in Kamunting. There will be a plane crash where those who are keeping the secret of this whole conspiracy will die. The office of an investigator will get bombed and the fire destroys all the evidence. The records office of the police headquarters mysteriously burns, destroying all the files.
No other movie about 1MDB is going to be as full of suspense as mine.
