And that was why yesterday the government issued a warrant of arrest against Jho Low and four other Chinamen. They are also going for the ex-MACC chief, ex-AG, ex-PAC Chairman, and many more. Daim and Mahathir realise they are not going to see the RM10 billion after all so they might as well go for broke. But will they manage to track down and extradite Jho Low? Maybe, but they are not going to get the RM10 billion which they are seeking.

The negotiations between Tun Daim Zainuddin, the chairman of the Council of Eminent Persons (CEP), and Low Taek Jho a.k.a. Jho Low has broken down. Daim offered Jho Low immunity from prosecution if he turns crown witness and returns at least RM10 billion of the RM18 billion he is alleged to have stolen. Jho Low would be given a prepared script as his testimony because there are some specific things Daim wants Jho Low to say.

While Jho Low has agreed to implicate Najib Tun Razak as being the mastermind behind the theft of 1MDB’s money, and he is even prepared to say whatever Daim wants him to say, Jho Low is not prepared to return any money, whether RM10 billion or even just RM1 billion.
The fact that the Finance Minister, Lim Guan Eng, who normally talks more than he should, is keeping very quiet about the deal with Jho Low involving the return of RM10 billion is very suspicious. The silence is deafening to say the least. Why is Guan Eng, as would be usual of him, not boasting that the government is going to recover RM10 billion from Jho Low?
Why is Guan Eng not shouting and screaming about the RM10 billion they are trying to recover from Jho Low?
Jho Low told his associates that the RM10 billion will not go to 1MDB or to the Ministry of Finance. The arrangement is not so straightforward and is more complicated than merely signing a cheque for RM10 billion. According to Daim, the money would first have to be transferred to an offshore account after which the government will decide how to bring the money back to Malaysia.
Jho Low’s reluctance to return RM10 billion is not only because of his greed. What he told his associates is that he suspects Daim and/or Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad plan to steal the money for themselves and that the money will never see Malaysian shores again. If not then why has the government remained silent and has not publicly announced the deal.
Normally Pakatan Harapan will shout and scream even before anything has been decided — just like Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Hanipa Maidin’s announcement today that former attorney-general Mohamed Apandi Ali may be charged in court (READ HERE).

They have not even decided yet whether to charge Apandi, and if so what charges, but they have already made the announcement. For Jho Low’s case everything is being kept very quiet. And considering that RM10 billion is a large sum of money, by now Guan Eng should be foaming at the mouth boasting about how Pakatan Harapan has ‘successfully solved’ the Jho Low matter.
