Nurul Izzah: Mujahid’s letter was inappropriate and condescending
(The Star) – Former PKR vice-president Nurul Izzah has finally responded to Datuk Seri Dr Mujahid Yusof Rawa’s open letter, four days later.
Unfortunately, it was not a positive response for the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department.
“Good intentions notwithstanding, I have actually informed him that the public letter was inappropriate and condescending. Best we all focus on real issues,” Nurul Izzah said on Twitter on Saturday (Dec 29).
She was responding to a news report where Dr Mujahid said it was a secret whether or not Nurul Izzah had responded to his open letter.
Dr Mujahid posted the open letter on social media on Tuesday (Dec 25).
The letter titled ‘Warkah Dari Cordova’ was penned following Nurul Izzah’s announcement last week to let go of the PKR vice-president post.
In the letter, he had said that he could not sleep for many nights because he was worrying about Nurul Izzah’s situation.
Nurul Izzah also relinquished her position as Penang PKR chief and all federal government posts.
Her father, PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, stood by her decision to step down.
