Anwar Ibrahim has broken the world record by being prime minister-in-waiting for 26 years. No other human in history has ever held the post of prime minister-in-waiting for as long as 26 years.
The only person who can be said to have broken Anwar’s record would be Prince Charles, who has been king-in-waiting for 67 years since 1952 — and might even die as king-in-waiting the way things are going. But as far as prime ministers go, Anwar still holds the world record.

Anwar needs at least 112 members of parliament to support him to become prime minister. If he cannot get at least 112 MPs to give him that vote of confidence then, legally, His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong cannot appoint Anwar the prime minister. That is the law.
Furthermore, if Anwar faces a Sodomy 3 trial, then His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong may also find it difficult to appoint him the prime minister. And currently there appears to be evidence that Sodomy 3 is about to explode.
