We are all Zionists
So, in that sense, everyone is a Zionist to some extent. The Malays want their Persekutuan Tanah Melayu, the Sabahans and Sarawakians want their own autonomous homeland, the Chinese want the West Coast of West Malaysia to be free of Malay rule, and the Jews want the land promised to them by God long before Jesus Christ and Prophet Muhammad were born.
NO HOLDS BARRED
Raja Petra Kamarudin
Most Malays, meaning Muslims, hate Jews because of the stories regarding the Jews betraying the Muslims and Prophet Muhammad in Medina during the war with the pagans from Mekah.
Once upon a time, the kiblat for Muslims was what is now the Al-Aqsa mosque located in the Old City of Jerusalem. One day, halfway through the prayers, Prophet Muhammad did a 180% U-turn and ordered that the new kiblat would now be the Al-Haram mosque in Mekah.
The old Kiblat in what is now Israel when the Jews and Muslims were still friends
Hence, from that day on, Muslims literally turned their backs on the Jews and regarded them as enemies for life. In fact, if you want to insult Muslims, you call them Yahudi. Muslims would feel very insulted. That would be just like calling an Indian a pariah (even pariahs get insulted when you call them pariahs).
What Muslims do not understand is that there are Jews, there are Israelis and there are Zionists. Most people would argue that they are not anti-Jew, or anti-Israeli, but just anti-Zionism. Hence that makes it okay to hate Jews.
So, what is Zionism?
The Jews are just defending what they regard as their homeland promised to them by God in the Bible
Zionism is the national movement of the Jewish people that supports the re-establishment of a Jewish homeland in the territory defined as the historic Land of Israel (basically the region of Palestine). Since the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948, Zionism continues primarily to advocate on behalf of Israel and to address threats to its continued existence and security.
Hence, Zionism is just like Ketuanan Melayu. It is about Merdeka, establishing a Malay homeland (Tanah Melayu of Persekutuan Tanah Melayu), and to defend Malaysia or the Malays against the threats of its continued existence and security.
Hence, also, that brings us to the debate of Israel’s right to exist and to defend its right to continue to exist.
The Malays believe in Zionism but call it Ketuanan Melayu
It is like the Chinese and Indians arguing that the Malays are pendatang from neighbouring Indonesia and that West Malaysia actually belongs to the Orang Asli. What the Chinese and Indians are doing is they are promoting Zionism, but Zionism for the Orang Asli.
The same goes for Sabah and Sarawak. There are those who are also promoting Zionism in Sabah and Sarawak. They want a free or autonomous homeland for the natives of Sabah and Sarawak and an end to Malayan occupation.
When Zionism first emerged in 1896, what is now Israel was part of the Ottoman Empire, just like Sabah and Sarawak were part of the British Empire. So, it makes sense they wanted to be free of a most evil empire that persecuted non-Muslims and embarked on ethnic cleansing around the region.
Hence, we are all Zionists. We just call it by different names. For example, the Chinese hide behind their Chinese schools, Chinese education and Chinese culture and use that as an excuse to remain Chinese and to resist becoming Malaysians.
The Chinese Zionists also want their own homeland, the West Coast of West Malaysia free of Malay rule
Is there any other country in the world where citizens of that country who were born in that country do not speak the language of that country? For example, you would never dream of any member of parliament in the UK who cannot speak English or cannot speak proper English. But in Malaysia we have Chinese wakil rakyat in parliament and in the DUNs who speak very poor Malay.
This is very shameful. They insist we treat them as Malaysians but they refuse to learn the Malaysian language or speak it properly. In the UK, you need to undergo an English language test before you are given citizenship.
