Awaiting MACC Findings over RM90M Funds

Allegedly no movement of money from 1MDB into PAS’ accounts
PAS is confident that all the documents it had surrendered to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) investigators, including its bank account and an audio recording over the alleged RM90 million funds from 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB), will prove the party’s innocence.
Its president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang said the party is waiting for the results of the investigation after handing over documents and the audio recording involving a central committee member Nik Mohamad Abduh Nik Abdul Aziz.
“MACC have met with Nik Mohamad Abduh and the party’s secretary-general Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan, and we have provided the required documents.
“What I was informed was that the audio recording was not related to the RM90 million funds, what more about the allegation that PAS received the money from Umno and 1MDB.
“We have given our full cooperation and now we’ll wait for the results,” he said after a get-together event with residents of a low-cost housing community at Sungai Kerak last night.
Abdul Hadi explained that the audio recording was an academic discussion on contributions that the party would want to accept for the 14th general election.
“I did not hear the audio recording but I was told it was an academic discussion on whether we can accept donations or not from this or that person.
