The Rulers are not against “the government”, just against Mahathir

More importantly, the Rulers know that whenever Mahathir is in trouble he always starts a quarrel with the Rulers so that he can “unite” the people behind him. That has always been Mahathir’s modus operandi since the 1980s. He creates the story that the Rulers are trying to topple “the government” (or someone is trying to use the Rulers to topple “the government”) and gets the people to rally behind him.

THE CORRIDORS OF POWER

(The Star) – Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad warned those who are trying to pit the government against Royalty that they would fail, as the government was elected by the people.

“There have been a lot of attempts to make the Rulers unhappy with the government. They single out Rome Statute and things like that. But it is not going to succeed. It will fail. It will fail because this government is elected by the people, and this is a democracy.”

“They cannot just get rid of the government and substitute it, unless of course you want to drop democracy and become a kleptocracy or become an autocracy,” said Dr Mahathir.

Mahathir fights with the Rulers and then blames others for making the Rulers unhappy with “the government”

“There have been a lot of attempts to make the Rulers unhappy with the government,” said Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad today.

First of all, the Rulers are not unhappy with “the government”, as Mahathir put it. They have no problems with the government. They are just disgusted with Mahathir, and have been for 30 years.

So, leave “the government” out of this. This has nothing to do with “the government”.

Secondly, the present crop of Rulers are second-generation Rulers. Their fathers were sitting on the throne back in the 1980s-1990s when Mahathir launched his Constitutional Crisis 1.0 and Constitutional Crisis 2.0. Today, we are seeing Constitutional Crisis 3.0 (or maybe 4.0, 5.0 or 6.0 or whatever).

When Mahathir faced a challenge from Tun Musa Hitam and Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah he started a quarrel with the Rulers

Back when the present Rulers were still rulers-in-waiting, they had already hated Mahathir and did not trust the old man farther than you can throw him. Many of them swore that when they take over the throne they are not going to allow Mahathir to do to them what Mahathir did to their fathers.

And today they are sitting on the throne which their fathers left them and Mahathir is back for Constitutional Crisis 3.0 (or maybe 4.0, 5.0 or 6.0 or whatever).

So, you really do not need to make the Rulers “unhappy”, as Mahathir put it. They were already “unhappy” since the 1980s-1990s. And it is Mahathir and not “the government” that they are unhappy with. Once Mahathir leaves office — or dies in office — the Rulers will no longer be “unhappy” even if the government does not change.

The Rulers have hated Mahathir since the 1980s and are just waiting for him to go

Adolf Hitler used the same strategy to get the Germans to unite behind him. He started the story about “Germany’s enemies”, with the collaboration of the Jews, are trying to topple “the government”. In this way he got the German people to support and vote for the Nazi party. He even burned the Reichstag building to prove this “conspiracy” allegation.

Hence Mahathir is doing exactly what Hitler did. And Mahathir, just like Hitler, is warning Malaysians about a conspiracy to incite the Rulers to topple “the government”. Actually, the only person who has been going all over Malaysia to meet the Rulers is Anwar Ibrahim.

It is Anwar who has been going all over Malaysia to meet the Rulers and to kiss their hands

Anwar told the Rulers he will be taking over as Prime Minister soon. He asked the Rulers to be patient a short while longer (sabar sedikit masa lagi) and in the very near future Malaysia will be rid of Mahathir. Anwar also told the Rulers that Mahathir hates them and wants to turn Malaysia into a republic but he (Anwar) will maintain and defend the constitutional monarchy.

Yes, it is Anwar who is inciting the Rulers. And Anwar is inciting them against Mahathir, not against “the government”. Actually, Mahathir knows this. But then Mahathir cannot openly mention Anwar as the culprit. If he mentions Anwar’s name then Mahathir will be admitting he is having problems. So, he warned “those who are trying to pit the government against Royalty” that they would fail.

Who are “those”? Mention who “those” are. Is it Najib Tun Razak? Is it Abdul Hadi Awang? Did Najib and Hadi travel all over Malaysia to meet the Rulers? Or is it Anwar who is the dalang in this entire conspiracy?
