Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission investigators discovered the source to be Umno.
(The Star) – Investigations into the RM90mil PAS allegedly received from Umno has also uncovered that RM3.5mil was given to Terengganu PAS.
According to sources, Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission investigators discovered the source to be Umno.
Sources say investigators stumbled on the RM3.5mil payment in their RM90mil probe.
The sources, however, declined to divulge details on the RM3.5mil transaction.
Sources also said prosecutors have documents linked to the RM1.4mil payment made to Sarawak Report editor Clare Rewcastle Brown.
The allegation that PAS received RM90mil in bribes from Umno was made in a Sarawak Report article on Aug 6, 2016.
PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang sued Rewcastle Brown for libel over the article but the duo settled the matter out of court.
Last month, Keretapi Tanah Melayu Bhd chairman Datuk Rameli Musa was questioned over the RM1.4mil, which was reportedly paid to Rewcastle Brown to settle the suit.
