(Malay Mail Online) – Pakatan Harapan lawmaker Tony Pua today urged Datuk Seri Najib Razak to come clean on the “pink diamond” saga, which police said was bought using money from state-owned 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).

Pua, who is political secretary to Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng, said there were two pink diamonds that had gained global attention since the 1MDB financial scandal broke.

He accused the former prime minister of misleading the public by deliberately omitting mention of a 22-carat gem costing US$23 million (RM94.6 million) bought for his wife Datin Seri Rosmah by former associate Low Taek Jho, based on court filings in the US by its Department of Justice (DOJ) on the 1MDB case.

“I would like to challenge Datuk Seri Najib Razak and his wife Datin Seri Rosmah to deny each specific accusation that has been brought forward by the DOJ.”

“What is the reason until today this pair of husband and wife has never denied this fact,” the Damansara MP said in a statement.

First of all, Najib and Rosmah HAVE denied the allegation — many times, in fact. So why is Tony Pua lying by saying “this pair of husband and wife has never denied this fact”?

Secondly, why after four years suddenly, today, Tony Pua comes out to allege there are TWO pink diamond rings and not just one. If that allegation is rebutted, is Tony Pua going to come out tomorrow and allege there are THREE pink diamond rings?

Finally, it is not Najib’s or Rosmah’s job to do anything (prove or deny). The onus is on the accuser to prove his/her allegation.

So why is Tony Pua upset that Najib tak layan dia? Najib is way up there while Tony Pua is way down there. Najib is from a bangsawan family while Tony Pua is an anak Cina pendatang. So why should Najib layan Tony Pua?

Ringkas cerita, just show the evidence of the TWO pink diamond rings and the paperwork to show that 1MDB paid for those TWO rings. Then ask PDRM to tangkap Najib and charge him in court. If not then shut the fook up. Fitnah tak habis-habis.
