The Johor Sultanate will always be around, PPBM will not
If Mahathir were fighting for justice for the people then maybe the end would turn out differently. But every Malaysian knows Mahathir is just fighting for himself and his family. Even his partners in Pakatan Harapan know this. And that is why he is going to fail.

Umno was formed in 1946 and came to power in 1955. In 2018, Umno met its demise. Will it ever come back to life again? Maybe!
Nevertheless, in 1998, when Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad launched his attack on the Raja-Raja Melayu, we had said the old man will die one day. Maybe even Umno will die as well. But the institution of the Raja-Raja Melayu will go on.
Today, Mahathir is trying, for the third time, to turn Malaysia into a republic. He failed in his first two attempts and he will fail again this time around as well. And Mahathir will soon be gone — maybe in 1 year or 2 years or whatever.
PPBM, just like Umno, will also be gone, whether in ten years or 50 years. But the institution of the Raja-Raja Melayu will go on long after Mahathir and his PPBM are dead and gone.
That is the reality of the future.

Malays call this buang tabiat. Mahathir is trying to leave this world in a blaze of glory by taking on the Royal Family. That was what Hitler thought as well but finally he had to take his own life when his dream turned into a nightmare. Mahathir is also committing suicide but in a different way.
