PPBM wants Deputy Education Minister Teo Nie Ching to resign

DAP has launched an online petition (Tun, please replace Minister of Education, Dr Maszlee Malik) that has so far received almost 120,000 signatures.

When Education Minister Dr Maszlee Malik made silly statements regarding the colour of school shoes and socks, DAP was not so concerned. But when Dr Maszlee insists on maintaining the 90:10 quota, this upset DAP. This is, after all, a Chinese issue and something DAP must be seen to be fighting against. So DAP wants Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad to sack Dr Maszlee.

However, PPBM wants DAP’s Deputy Education Minister, Teo Nie Ching, to resign instead. If she cannot get along with her boss or she disagrees with her boss then she should resign. Why must Dr Mahathir sack Dr Maszlee just to make DAP happy? Would that not just put Mahathir in a sticky situation and prove that he is DAP’s puppet as alleged and that DAP runs the show?
