Haziq resurfaces, tells of other hotel sex romps with minister

(FMT) – The individual at the centre of the gay sex videos targeted at Mohamed Azmin Ali has questioned the Pakatan Harapan government’s sincerity after ruling politicians took turns to accuse him of having a political agenda in coming out with a confession clip early yesterday.

Haziq Aziz, the private secretary of Deputy Primary Industries Minister Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin, said he was abandoned by party colleagues, adding that a representative had approached him in an attempt to force him to retract the claims.

Haziq went on to say that the sex romp he claimed he had with Azmin – which Azmin has strongly denied – was not the first.

“First it was at the Grand Continental Kuching three years ago, then at Pullman Kuching during the party elections in October last year.

“We did it again in Grand Hyatt KL during your stint as menteri pengiring to the Sultan of Brunei in March this year and our recent encounter at Fourpoint Sandakan last month,” he said in a Facebook post today.

Yesterday, Haziq shocked the nation with a 30-second video clip uploaded on Facebook, in which he said he was the person seen in several viral video clips showing two men performing homosexual acts, one of whom resembles a senior minister.

Haziq named Azmin as the other person in the video, a claim the PKR deputy president says is aimed at killing his political career.

“I will not submit to these cowardly acts and heinous attempts to distract the public from the pressing concerns of the nation,” Azmin said yesterday.

Azmin also got backing from Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad as well as senior PKR leaders, including Anwar Ibrahim.

Mahathir told reporters last night that the video clips were fake and that Haziq had a political agenda.

Haziq said today that after his video confession, he was approached by a proxy who met him at a hotel in Putrajaya.

“He forced me to deny that it was you in the viral video and asked me to lie for you,” he said, identifying the man who met him as Azmin’s political secretary Hilman Idham, who is also the PKR deputy Youth chief.

“I asked for more time to consult my parents and this angered him. After I refused, he made threats and said ‘this’ will be shut down within 48 hours with or without my help to lie.”

Haziq also attacked Azmin as a “sick man”, accusing him of recording the video “for personal collection”.

“I am worried that more videos will be leaked and the luxury you have as a minister is deniability whereas my future is over.

“You even have the prime minister pledging his full support before any formal investigation has been done. Only the truth can set me free as I am concerned for my safety and that of my family,” he added.
