Anwar Ibrahim was pardoned and released from jail on 16th May 2018. The Anwaristas call it a “Full Pardon”.

Actually, there is no such thing as a “Full Pardon” in the Federal Constitution of Malaysia. This is a deceit spun by the Anwaristas to give an impression that Anwar’s pardon is a “special” pardon and not a “normal” pardon.

Secondly, Anwar’s pardon is not valid, and I will show you why below. There was no Attorney General at the time of Anwar’s pardon so his pardon tidak sah.

So, if Anwar legally cannot be a Member of Parliament until AFTER 16th May 2023, that means he also cannot become Prime Minister until AFTER 16th May 2023.

Now read what the Federal Constitution of Malaysia has to say about this matter.

Article 42. (1) The Yang di-Pertuan Agong has power to grant pardons, reprieves and respites in respect of all offences…

(5) The Pardons Board constituted for each State shall consist of the Attorney General of the Federation…

(8) The Pardons Board shall meet in the presence of the Ruler…

(9) Before tendering their advice on any matter, a Pardons Board shall consider any written opinion which the Attorney General may have delivered thereon.

Did Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad purposely violate the Federal Constitution of Malaysia so that Anwar’s pardon can be rescinded later or at the very least Anwar can be barred from becoming Prime Minister until AFTER 16th May 2023?
