Blaming Mahathir and Azmin for Anwar’s doing
Anyway, what makes these Pakatan Harapan people think the post of Prime Minister is Anwar’s entitlement or God-given right? He is not my choice of Prime Minister. Maybe he is the choice of one or two million Pakatan Harapan people. But Malaysia’s population is 32 million. So that means while he may be the choice of one or two million Pakatan Harapan people, another 30 million people are not choosing Anwar for Prime Minister.
THE CORRIDORS OF POWER

The comments on the pro-Pakatan Harapan blogs and news portals blame Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Azmin Ali for the current political crisis in PKR, which also threatens stability in Pakatan Harapan.
They are saying this crisis could have been avoided if Mahathir had confirmed the actual date he is handing power to Anwar Ibrahim. Or Azmin could openly declare he is not interested in becoming Prime Minister and will support Anwar as Mahathir’s successor. Then there will be no crisis in PKR and/or Pakatan Harapan.
Sometimes these Pakatan Harapan supporters can be very dumb. Why should Azmin do that? This is politics. In politics you never close the door to the possibility of becoming Prime Minister. Anyone can be the Prime Minister — as long as you are a member of the house who receives the confidence of the majority members of the house, to quote what the Federal Constitution of Malaysia says.
Why, in the first place, do you get involved in politics? To serve the people? Yeah, right, and you become a prostitute so that you can spread the word of Jesus. You become a politician to gain power. And the higher you climb the more power you gain. And becoming Prime Minister is the ultimate goal because that is the most powerful post in Malaysia, more powerful than even the post of Agong.
Only an idiot would want to reject the post of Prime Minister. And only idiots would suggest Azmin should openly declare he does not want the post of Prime Minister. Hence what does this make those Pakatan Harapan supporters who want Azmin to openly reject the post of Prime Minister? Geniuses?
There is no reason for Mahathir to state the date he is handing over to Anwar. There is also no reason for Azmin to state he does not wish to become Prime Minister. That is not how politics is played. And for the Pakatan Harapan people to suggest this shows how immature and naïve they are.
Powerplay in politics is how politics is played. All over the world, and since the 1950s, Malaysian politics has been about powerplay. Parties split and leaders clash either about power or about doctrine and party direction. Since 1951, Umno has split many times and new parties such as PMIP (now PAS), Independence of Malaya Party, Parti Negara, Umno Baru, Semangat 46, Hamim, Berjasa, PKR, Amanah, and now PPBM were born.
Yes, since Umno was formed in 1946, ten new parties have been created, which can be considered second, third and fourth generation parties. And if the Registrar of Societies deregisters Umno (Baru), yet another party is going to be born. So why are these Pakatan Harapan supporters so perturbed about the split in PKR or Pakatan Harapan? That is politics.
If you want Anwar to become Prime Minister that is your choice. But do not impose your choice on the rest of us. And do not demand that Mahathir should do this or Azmin should do that just so that Anwar is assured of the post of Prime Minister and so that the conflict within PKR can end.
In politics, nothing is served on a silver platter. You need to fight for what you want. And politics is dirty. So, if you cannot stand the heat, then get out of the kitchen. Go become a priest instead. The trouble with Pakatan Harapan people is they like to bitch. They want things done their way. Well, I have news for you, no one cares what Pakatan Harapan people want.
