KRITIKAN DR TAJUDDIN RASDI KE ATAS ISLAM DAN UMAT ISLAM DI GEREJA

Ramai rakan yang bertanya saya mengenai perkara-perkara yang dikritik oleh Dr Tajuddin Rasdi di hadapan penganut Kristian dalam forum “Naratif Malaysia Baharu” di Mega Chinese Methodist Church, Kota Damansara, Selangor, pada 14 September 2019.
Untuk tidak menghampakan mereka disertakan di sini petikan ucapan Dr Tajuddin Rasdi dalam forum ini.
(1) KRITIKAN KERANA ISLAM HANYA MENGAJAR ASPEK RITUAL DAN TIDAK MENGAJAR ASPEK SPIRITUAL
“Now in Islam spirituality is how many times you go to hajj, how many times you go for umrah, how many times you walk to the mosque. These are the forms that governs it.”
“See, in Islam they are being taught the rituals and the forms but not the jiwa, the inside. And this is the problem.”
(2) KRITIKAN KERANA UMAT ISLAM MENGANGGAP HANYA ISLAM SAHAJA AGAMA BETUL
“How can all faiths be right, only one must be and the others not. Now certainly if you speak to Muslims and this is how they see things: One (faith) must be right others must be wrong. Now I don’t like to speak for other faith but I think it is about almost the same lah.”
“People said that ‘Have you met God’, thing like that. And said the four faiths, no they have not met God. Then they are just like five blind men trying to figure out what the elephant is when they have never seen what the elephant is.”
(3) KRITIKAN KERANA UMAT ISLAM TIDAK MEMPELAJARI HADITH NABI
“But actually to tell you the truth why I am here and in one sense not being accepted by my own race and also my own faith is simply because of the accident of reading 20,000 hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad, from Bukhari, Muslim, these are the texts that are supposed that the ustazs have to read, but they don’t read it all anyway, and Muslims hardly read any.”
“Never learn, never read the hadith, only listen to the ustaz. That is the problem.”
“Many Malays because they don’t read they don’t find such thing.”
(4) KRITIKAN KERANA USTAZ TIDAK MAMPU BERFIKIR PANJANG
“Our public schools disallow other religions to be taught because they say it is going to confuse. Memanglah confused, you bagi the ustazs, they don’t know how to think beyond what they have been taught in the madrasah. Bagilah professor of architecture, bolehlah, kita tukar, because as architects we think outside of the box.”
(5) KRITIKAN KERANA KHUTBAH TIDAK MENGAJAR PERKARA BETUL
“But here the sermon doesn’t say it, the Friday khutbah I searched 200 khutbah, nobody says so. They did not tell those things don’t say this thing. So susahlah macam tu.”
Komen ringkas saya ialah perkara-perkara yang dikritik oleh Dr Tajuddin Rasdi ini tidak sepatutnya dikritik begitu kerana ia memperlihatkan seolah-olah hanya Islam dan umat Islam sahaja yang menjadi punca kepada masalah yang dihadapi oleh negara kita.
Tidak syak lagi, kritikan-kritikan terbuka begini terhadap Islam dan umat Islam yang dibuat di hadapan penganut Kristian dalam gereja pula pastilah boleh mendatangkan keresahan dan mengganggu keharmonian dalam masyarakat berbilang agama di negara ini.
