I have met many Malay PhD, or those who were doing their PhD, and I have to admit I was not impressed with most of them (I am tempted to say “all of them”). These people lack the right “criteria” to qualify for their PhD.
These Malay PhD prove you can take the Malay out of the kampung but you cannot take the kampung out of the Malay.
Take Prof Dr Mohd Tajuddin Mohd Rasdi as one example. He said, “The Umno-PAS alliance is good simply because these two parties have been sleeping together outside of wedlock for several years already and now they have decided to make themselves an ‘honest’ and ‘halal’ union.” (READ MORE HERE)
To Dr Tajuddin, an electoral pact translates to “sleeping together out of wedlock”.
Dr Tajuddin is supposedly a professor of architecture so maybe he should stick to designing public toilets because clearly political philosophy is NOT his forte (and before anyone questions my credentials, the answer is yes, I did take a ‘political philosophy’ course in Oxford — plus ‘philosophy of religion’, ‘world religions’, ‘age of revolutions’, ‘English civil war’, ‘the decline of the Roman Empire’, ‘Napoleon’, etc.).
No doubt Dr Tajuddin was trying to insult PAS and Umno by referring to their cooperation as “sleeping together outside of wedlock”. At least Dr Tajuddin was kind enough to not refer to the Umno-PAS cooperation as Semburit.
Anyway, I would suggest Dr Tajuddin buy and read Jonathan Wolfe’s book “An Introduction to Political Philosophy” published by Oxford University. Then maybe he will be more professional in his next article, befitting someone who is supposed to be a ‘professor’ and ‘doctor’.
Dr Tajuddin also said, “These two have been using the same race and religion strategy for so long.”
But then that is politics. Has Dr Tajuddin not heard of the Irish vote, the Jewish vote, the Black vote, the Muslim vote, the Catholic vote, and so on? In US politics, supposedly the most democratic country in the world, voting is along racial and religious lines. Hence political campaigns are also along racial and religious lines.
Dr Tajuddin definitely needs to brush up on his political philosophy. In fact, if you want to win the US Presidency, you need to show you are Israel-friendly or else you will not win the Jewish vote. Are you telling me Dr Tajuddin does not know this?
“Zahid and Najib are two leaders who have been accused of massive corruption and if their cases are speeded up and they are found guilty, then PAS and Umno will be shouldering what the Malays called ‘memikul biawak hidup’,” Dr Tajuddin gleefully added.
Come on! Did Lim Kit Siang and DAP not say that Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, Tun Daim Zainuddin, Anwar Ibrahim, Rafidah Aziz, Muhyiddin Yassin, etc., are crooks who robbed Malaysian taxpayers of an estimated RM200 billion?
Lim Kit Siang and DAP said that once Pakatan is in power they are going to arrest all the Umno crooks (who are now in PKR and PPBM) and send them to jail.
Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Najib Tun Razak may be facing trial. But they have not been convicted of any crime yet. Anwar Ibrahim has, three times. The fact that Anwar has been pardoned (for just one of the three convictions) does not make him a non-ex-convict. Anwar is still an ex-convict. So why talk about two people who have not been convicted and ignore the person who has been convicted three times?
And did Kit Siang not accuse Anwar of collaborating with Mahathir and Daim in the RM31.5 billion Bank Negara Forex scandal, which would be worth RM60 billion today? It was Kit Siang who demanded the RCI (which was held) and it was Kit Siang who demanded that Mahathir, Daim and Anwar be punished.

So, come on, Dr Tajuddin, Mister Professor-Doctor. Janganlah bagi malu Melayu. This is what they mean by “professor kangkong”. And was it not you who condemned the academicians of Malaysian universities? Using you as the yardstick, you are right when you said nasty things about the VCs of Malaysian universities.
Anyway, just to correct you on your statement that you have read all 20,000 hadith. There are only about 6,700 hadith in all with only 2,200 without repetition. Maybe your 20,000 includes the ‘hadith’ of going to China to seek knowledge and so on. And, yes, I, too have the entire collection of hadith plus the entire collection of Hamka’s tafsiran Al Quran. The only thing I do not have is a PhD behind my name.
