The reason why Najib must be sent to jail
The fact that Pakatan Harapan cannot deliver its election promises and the people are still suffering is bad enough. But not being able to send Najib to jail when back in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 they said Najib is 100% guilty of stealing RM42-50 billion and once the new government comes in “the very next day” Najib is going to jail is totally unacceptable.
THE CORRIDORS OF POWER

Tommy Thomas is desperate and needs to ensure that Najib is jailed for allegedly stealing RM42-50 billion of SRC’s and 1MDB’s money
Attorney-General Tommy Thomas is under tremendous pressure. He needs to ensure that Najib Tun Razak is found guilty and is sent to jail for allegedly robbing SRC International and 1MDB. And the conviction has to be as close to RM42 billion as possible, the amount Najib was alleged to have stolen. If not, then Pakatan Harapan is in serious trouble.
The reason Pakatan Harapan won the 14th General Election in May 2018 was because Najib was alleged to have stolen between RM42-50 billion of the taxpayers’ money (and Pakatan Harapan was going to make sure that Najib goes to jail for that crime “the very next day”) plus for the election promises that Pakatan Harapan made (those detailed in Pakatan Harapan’s election manifesto and those made during rallies and ceramahs).
Thus far both have not been delivered.
Pakatan Harapan said they are going to send Najib to jail “the very next day” after GE14 and it is now 580 days
Some people were moved to vote for Pakatan Harapan because they believed that Najib was a crook who stole billions of the taxpayers’ money. Others were moved by the promise of a land of milk and honey and roads paved in gold once Pakatan Harapan is in power. It is hence crucial that at least one promise is delivered.
Delivering the promises of one million new jobs, one million new affordable homes, lower cost of living, petrol price at RM1.50 per litre, higher minimum wage, and so on, is now impossible. So, they need to deliver the next best thing — which is to send Najib to jail for stealing RM42-50 billion of the taxpayers’ money.
At least if Najib is found guilty and is jailed, some Malaysians will be partially satisfied. Maybe life is still difficult, the cost of living is still high, salaries are still low, jobs are still scarce, the crime rate is still shocking, corruption is still rampant, and more, but the satisfaction of seeing Najib pay for his alleged crime will justify kicking out Umno-Barisan Nasional to replace them with DAP-Pakatan Harapan.
But that does not seem to be happening, at least not that soon. And this is making people quite pissed.
Lim Guan Eng said 60% of the promises have been delivered but the people disagree
So now either deliver the promise of a better life for all Malaysians or deliver the promise of sending Najib to jail for stealing RM42-50 billion. You cannot default on both promises. You must deliver at least one. And since the promise of a better life for Malaysians is impossible to deliver, Pakatan Harapan must at least deliver the second promise of sending Najib to jail. But that, too, seems impossible to deliver.
