Putatan Upko chief Mojigoh, committee members quit party

The United Pasokmomogun Kadazandusun Murut Organisation (Upko) Putatan chief Marcus Makin Mojigoh along with almost all committee members today announced quitting the party with immediate effect.

(FMT) – Majigoh said only deputy division chief Alex Martin and committee member Jacky Litong were not among them.

The former Putatan MP said they were not happy with the party leadership for being insensitive to grassroots’ grievances.

“Putatan Upko also disagrees with the support of the party leadership on the implementation of the Sabah Provisional Pass (PSS) previously. Putatan Upko was also excluded from any post at the district level,” he said at a press conference in Kampung Kotiduvan Duvanson near here yesterday.

Meanwhile, Mojigoh dismissed speculation that they will be joining Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS).

PBS president Maximus Ongkili and several other party members were present at the Chinese New Year celebration at his residence shortly after the party’s announcement.
