Syed Saddiq heads Muar Bersatu division

Youth and Sports Minister Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman was picked to head the Muar Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) division.

(Bernama) – The move was decided at the meeting of the party division on Sunday night.

Syed Saddiq, who is also the Bersatu youth wing (Armada) chief, was picked to replace outgoing division chief Datuk Dr Shahruddin Md Salleh who is the Deputy Federal Territories Minister.

His election as the division chief is expected to provide an advantage to the Muar MP in defending his Armada chief post.

This was after film producer and businessman Razalif Mohd Zain on Sunday announced his candidacy for the Armada chief post in the polls.

The 30-year-old, who is also Seaview Park branch Armada chief, said he would be running for the post to exercise his democratic right and to champion the party youth agenda.
