Singapore Covid-19 cases surge to 72
(NST) – Singapore has detected five more Covid-19 coronavirus cases, bringing the tally of infections in the republic to 72.
The new cases comprise three Singaporeans, a Bangladeshi and a Chinese national, none of whom has recent travel history to China, Bernama reported.
According to Singapore’s Ministry of Health (MOH), three of the cases are linked to an infection cluster at the Grace Assembly of God church; and one to the Seletar Aerospace Heights construction site
It said that five infection clusters have been identified on the island: The Life Church and Missions Singapore at Paya Lebar Road; the Yong Thai Hang health products shop at Cavan Road; a private business meeting held at the Grand Hyatt Singapore; the Seletar Aerospace Heights construction site; and the Grace Assembly of God church.
The MOH said that of 54 cases still in hospital, six are in critical condition.
