Come back, we’ll take ‘good care’ of you if you have Covid-19, IGP tells Jho Low
(Yahoo News) – Jho Low should come back home to Malaysia, especially if he has been infected with Covid-19, says Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador.
The Inspector-General of Police jokingly said that the fugitive businessman, whose real name is Low Taek Jho, would get the best treatment here as the country has good healthcare.
“Our Health Ministry is the best… nine people have been cured so far.
“Therefore, we urge him to come back and receive the best treatment if he is infected,” he told a press conference after attending a ceremony for the replacement of elevators for the Police Training Centre and Pantai police station on Wednesday (Feb 19).
He was asked whether there was any intelligence to indicate that Low had fled the country where he is hiding following the Covid-19 outbreak.
“So far there is no information to indicate as such,” Abdul Hamid said.
The country’s top cop also confirmed that Low had been listed under the Interpol’s Red Notice.
“The Red Notice has two categories – one that is shared with the public and the other only shared among law enforcement authorities.
“Those who claimed that he (Low) was not listed (under the Red Notice) should come see me,” he said.
