PKR division wants Saifuddin to quit seat


Following Indera Mahkota MP Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah’s decision to leave PKR, the division that once supported him is now demanding that he relinquish the parliamentary seat.

(The Star) – The Indera Mahkota PKR division said in a statement that Saifuddin’s win in Indera Mahkota was due to the blessing of then party president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail and the division machinery’s help during the 14th General Election.

“His betrayal of the voters’ mandate has not only upset voters in the parliamentary constituency but also damaged the image of PKR, ” the division said after an emergency meeting recently.

Saifuddin had sided with former PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Azmin Ali and his faction.
