This week the curiosity of netizens were further peaked by the leaking of several voice recordings from key meetings that took place prior to and during the infamous Sheraton Move that cemented the political coup which brought down the Pakatan Harapan government and installed the current Perikatan Nasional coalition under Muhyiddin Yassin.
Though released not in sequence, we share the (alleged) February 21 PH presidential council meeting, from which conflicting reports suggested “extreme pressure” from DAP, AMANAH and KEADILAN sections calling for then Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad to set a date for the transition of power to KEADILAN president Anwar Ibrahim, as per the coalition’s pre-elections agreement.

Reports as per Dr Mahathir’s announcement and quotes from Anwar from the post-meeting press conference seemed to tally with what they had stated in the meeting.
