Muhyiddin will not seek to meet or reconcile with Mahathir again

A PPBM leader told Sin Chew Daily Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin would restructure the party after Hari Raya in his capacity as acting chairman.

(Sin Chew Daily) – Muhyiddin will also not seek to meet former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad or try to reconcile with him any more.

He said the Muhyiddin camp had tried to be nice to Mahathir and had written to him for a meeting but Mahathir had ignored and even made aggressive remarks against the prime minister.

“Muhyiddin will not see Mahathir any more.

“And because of this the party needs to go on as normal.”

The source also said the Registry of Societies (RoS) had confirmed that according to party constitution, Muhyiddin had the right to become acting party chairman.

“At this juncture the acting chairman has the same power as the chairman according to party constitution.”
